The church in the village of Menderskoye, located in the Belozersky District of the Kurgan Region, is first mentioned in the second half of the 19th century. According to preserved parish records, by 1865, Father Dmitry Dobrokhodov, Deacon Nikolai Arzamazov, sexton Epifan Popov, and other church servants were actively engaged in their duties. They conducted funerals, registered newborns, performed baptism and wedding ceremonies, and maintained village statistics.

At that time, the church was wooden, but it burned down in 1895. In its place, a new stone church was built in 1907, funded by parishioners and private benefactors.

After the adoption of the decree by the Council of People's Commissars of the RSFSR "On the Separation of Church from State and School from Church" on January 23, 1918, the Menderskoye church lost its legal status and was closed in 1938.

Until 1967, the church building housed a village club and library, and later it was used as a grain storage facility. Over time, the building fell into disrepair and was looted. By 1984, the church domes and bell tower were destroyed, windows and doors were broken, and the frescoes and paintings on the walls and dome were destroyed.
