The Poddubny Museum in the city of Yeisk, Krasnodar Krai, is dedicated to the life and activities of Ivan Maksimovich Poddubny, a renowned wrestler and Honored Master of Sports of the USSR. Poddubny had many connections to Yeisk. In 1927, he purchased a house on Sennaya Street, where he lived with his second wife, Maria Stepanovna Mashoshina. In 1941, after retiring, he shared his memories at the local theater and with schoolchildren, and received treatment at a sanatorium. During the Great Patriotic War, he remained in the occupied city, working as a marker in a billiard hall. After the war, he was issued food rations.

In 1947, after a hip fracture, Poddubny was confined to bed and moved around on crutches. He passed away in 1949 and was buried in the Загородный park, which was named in his honor in 1965. In 1955, a black marble monument with a photo portrait and an inscription about his achievements was erected at his grave.

For the 100th anniversary of Poddubny's birth, in 1971, a Memorial Museum opened next to his grave. The museum building is adorned with columns and a triangular portico, and its basement houses a wrestling gym. The city hosts annual Greco-Roman wrestling tournaments in memory of Poddubny.

The museum's exhibition is designed like a circus "Shapito." In the center are cast-iron weights, a 75 kg barbell, and a 19.5 kg cane. Display stands feature materials from Poddubny's life: posters, photographs, his robe, training suit, and personal belongings. Among the exhibits are twisted nails, broken chains, and shattered horseshoes, confirming his strength. The Order of the Red Banner of Labor, which Poddubny wore during the occupation, is also displayed.

The museum recreates the interior of a Ukrainian hut where Poddubny spent his childhood, as well as the setting of his room in Yeisk. The museum houses about 2000 exhibits. Next to the museum is Poddubny's burial site and a monument depicting his performance in the circus arena.
