The bell tower, located separately in front of the western facades of the Assumption and Trinity churches, was likely built in 1775. It is designed in the traditions of ancient Russian architecture and is considered one of the best examples of pillar-shaped bell towers in this region. Its slender structure consists of a low single-tier square base, on which rises a tall octagon crowned with a tier of arched bells under an eight-sided tent.

The decorative design of the facades is restrained yet expressive, and the few plastic elements emphasize the monumentality of the massive walls. The cornice of the square base, reminiscent of the completion of the second tier of the Assumption Cathedral, includes a series of protruding bricks and above, two bands of niches and teeth made from shaped bricks of a shoe profile. The ribs of the octagon are highlighted by surrounding pilasters, and the flat surfaces of the facets above the cornice of the square base are enlivened by window openings located on the cardinal points. The windows with arched lintels are recessed into niches and framed by double ribbon moldings. On the southern and southeastern facets, narrow windows are placed at different heights to illuminate the staircase. At the top of the western facet is a niche decorated with a triangular kokoshnik. The facets of the tent are pierced by three tiers of diminishing openings, with the rectangular openings of the two lower tiers complemented by moldings with triangular kokoshniks, while the upper round ones are framed by ribbon circles.

The first tier of the bell tower is covered by a barrel vault. A stone staircase is built into the eastern wall, which transitions to a wooden one at the level of the octagon.
