The bell tower of the church of St. George the Victorious and St. Alexandra of Rome in Dubovik rises at the edge of a gentle hollow of the Dubovik stream. The single-domed brick church was built in 1821 with funds from the guard cornet Alexander Yakovlevich Okhotnikov.

The cold altar of the church is dedicated to saints George and Alexandra, while the warm altar is dedicated to the holy martyr Miropia. In 1885-1886, the church underwent major renovations. It was surrounded by a fence made of wild stone with iron elements, and on the eastern side, a stone chapel was built over the remains of the church's builder. Nearby, there was a building for a second-class teacher's and church-parish school. In 1913, a new brick school was erected on the site of the burned building.

The George Church was closed in 1930. During the Great Patriotic War, it suffered greatly, with only the bell tower remaining. The school building survived, but it is currently abandoned.
