Voronino, a noble village located on a hill by the ponds, is 21 versts from Rostov. Here, besides the estate, there are 25 households, 42 residents, and 53 plots. The village has two churches: a cold stone church with one dome, dedicated to the Holy Trinity, built by the parishioners in 1811. The bell tower stands separately and is connected to the church by a passage from the choir, supported by columns, which is now bricked up.

The warm church, also with one dome, dedicated to the Tolga Icon of the Mother of God, was built in 1768 and stands separately.

Before these churches, there was a wooden church located where the current greenhouse is, but it burned down in 1808. On its cemetery, the owners of the village, the Leontiev family, built a chapel at the burial site of their ancestors. 250 fathoms from the cold church, behind the Trinity pond, there is another cemetery, but when and by whom the church that stood there was built and destroyed is unknown.

There are no miraculous icons in the churches, but parishioners especially venerate the icon of the Tolga Icon of the Mother of God in the warm church. There are no ancient manuscripts or books, but among the church utensils, there is an eight-pointed silver-gilded cross with relics of Saints Peter of Alexandria, Evangelist Matthew, Apostle Philip, and Great Martyr Barbara. It is unknown how long the cross has been kept here, but it was likely transferred from the church that burned down in 1808.

The church has 36 desyatinas of land, and the parish includes 6 settlements.

The village got its name because in the early 15th century this area was the estate of Prince Semyon Yuryevich Vorona, who gave it as a dowry for his daughter, Princess Paraskovya, who married Prince A. F. Goluboy.

The dome of the bell tower was replaced after a hurricane that swept through in 1904.

The church was closed in 1934 and later destroyed, with only the bell tower remaining.
