Historical and Cultural Museum Complex of the Aseev Estate in Tambov

The estate, built in the 19th century, combines elements of baroque, classicism, and modernism. In the early 20th century, factory owner Mikhail Vasilyevich Aseev acquired a plot with an ancient park. By 1905, a palace was constructed according to the design of architect L. N. Kekushev and with the participation of Tambov specialist P. F. Fedorovsky.

In the spring of 1918, the estate was transferred for a summer colony for poor children, and in the 1920s, it housed an orphanage. From the late 1920s, the building became part of the healthcare system, first as a tuberculosis sanatorium and then as a cardiology sanatorium.

On September 27, 2014, the restored "Aseev Estate" was opened, coinciding with the founding day of the Tambov region.

On the first floor of the mansion, there are a grand vestibule, a cloakroom, a fireplace room, an anteroom, a reception room, M. V. Aseev's study, a sitting room, a small living room, a billiard room, and a grand dining room. The interiors have preserved elements of the original decoration and built-in furniture.

A grand staircase made of white marble leads to the second floor. The main room on the second floor, the columned hall, is decorated with paired columns and is illuminated by a glass dome in the center. The estate's grounds feature a park with an ancient sessile oak. In the park area, there are walking paths, gazebos, and benches for relaxation, as well as a stage space for concerts and a fountain complex.
