On May 9, 2016, the historical and ethnographic room was opened in the Novomikhaylovsk library system. The uniqueness of this complex lies in the fact that most of the exhibits were donated by local residents. The museum section of the building features several halls showcasing exhibitions dedicated to various periods of the settlement's history.

Visitors can explore exhibitions that tell about the ancient history of the settlement, including the fortress of Nikopsia and the first trading settlement. Their existence is confirmed by archaeological finds such as spears, arrows, and Greek amphorae. A separate exhibition is dedicated to the everyday life of the indigenous peoples: Adyghe, Armenians, and Cossacks. Here, one can see traditional costumes, weapons, and household items. The guide will provide detailed information about the traditions of that time.

Museum guests will have the opportunity to learn about the culture, lifestyle, and traditions of the peoples living in the territory of the Novomikhaylovsk urban settlement: Adyghe, Armenians, and Cossacks. A significant part of the exhibition is dedicated to the Tuapse defensive operation, which tells about the defense of Tuapse during the Great Patriotic War, as well as the soldiers and workers on the home front.

The museum is located in the central part of Novomikhaylovsk, not far from the settlement's bus station. It can be reached by car or on foot along Lenin Street.
