The Kurba family mainly distinguished itself in military service: its members conquered the tribes of the Khanty and Mansi in the Northern Urals, participated in battles near Kazan, and fought in wars against the Crimean Khanate. The Kurba family also held administrative positions.

The temple complex includes the Kazan and Resurrection churches, as well as a bell tower.

Kazan Church

In 1770, a large summer Kazan church was built with funds from the descendants of the Naryshkin family and local parishioners. The church had three altars: in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, the Savior Not Made by Hands, and Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The uniqueness of the church lay in the fact that it housed the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, known as the Kurba Icon, which was considered miraculous. It is now located in a neighboring church in the village of Vasilyevskoye.

The Kazan church is an interesting architectural structure with a 16-petal center, which local residents refer to as round. The name of the architect is unknown.

In 1929-1930, the Kazan church was closed, and valuable icons were destroyed by the decision of local authorities.

Resurrection Church

The five-domed Resurrection church was built in the early 18th century. The main two-light volume of the church is close to a square shape. A one-story refectory adjoins it from the west. The lowered altar part consists of three apses. In 1851, the church was rebuilt: window and door openings were changed, the refectory was extended, and a warm Nikolsky chapel with heating was arranged in it. The upper part of the church's base is highlighted by a cornice, and the window and door openings are decorated with frames with a sandrik. The apses are divided by three-quarter columns on pedestals. The cornice of the main volume of the church consists of several rows of cornices. During the Soviet era, the church was closed and lost its domes. The building was used as a store and a rural cultural center.
