The Church of All Saints in Kursk was built in 1813 at the initiative and expense of local merchant Alexandrov in honor of Saint Catherine. However, the consecration took place only 20 years later, and the church was dedicated not to Saint Catherine, but to All Saints. Subsequently, the building underwent several reconstructions.

Initially, the church was designed in the classical style. A three-tiered bell tower was attached to the western side, and a rectangular apse to the eastern side. In the late 19th century, there were plans to add two chapels, but due to the war, only one was completed. In 1901, a monument to the first city mayor Ustimovich was erected near the church, which has survived to this day. A parish school and a city almshouse were opened at the church, and in 1911, a building for an elementary school for adolescents was constructed.

In 1939, the church was closed, and the bell tower was almost destroyed. However, with the onset of the Great Patriotic War, services gradually resumed. The church is located in one of the oldest cemeteries in the city. In the 1990s, a southern chapel was added to the main building.
