Church of the Resurrection of the Word in the Holy Vvedensky Monastery in Oryol

Фото 1
The Church of the Resurrection of the Word was built in 1881 over the grave of the monastery's benefactor, Nikolai Grigorievich Priklonsky, with funds from his widow, Ekaterina Alexandrovna Priklonskaya.

Thanks to donations from Ekaterina Alexandrovna, the church was richly equipped with church utensils and vestments. The temple was consecrated in 1885 and functioned until the arrival of the Bolsheviks. During the Soviet era, it served as a warehouse, during the war, a slaughterhouse, and later, a felting workshop and a shoe-making workshop, as well as a factory warehouse.

In 1995, the church was returned to the Church, and in 2007 it was consecrated again. On weekdays, services are held here, and monastic rules are read.
