The parish in the village of Verkhovye was founded in 1995. A building of a former radio lamp factory was allocated for the church dedicated to the Holy Trinity. Initially, services were held in this adapted space of 150 sq.m.
In 1996, with the blessing of Archbishop Paisius and in agreement with local authorities, a site was designated for the construction of a new church within the village of Verkhovye, and its project was approved.
That same year, the foundation of the Holy Trinity Church was laid. On July 10, 1997, Archbishop Paisius consecrated this foundation.
The construction of the church lasted 7 years, funded by parishioners, voluntary donations from local organizations, and private entrepreneurs.
In 2004, services began in the new church.
On July 17, 2010, the church was consecrated by Archbishop Panteleimon.
