The church dedicated to the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul is located on the main street of the village, next to a pond. It was built in 1851 with funds from Count P.I. Apraksin on the site of a burned-down church. Today, the upper tiers of the building and the bell tower have been dismantled. On the site of the former church, a cemetery has been arranged, where A.S. Pushkin's uncle, Semyon Isakovich Hannibal, who managed the Apraksin estate in Dobrodeevka, is buried. The walls of the church are made of logs and covered with planks, while the base is brick. This is a typical wooden church of that time, combining late classicist forms with traditional compositions of the 17th and 18th centuries.

The building has a cross-shaped form and stands on a high base. It includes a rectangular altar, side extensions, and an elongated refectory, to which the preserved lower tier of the bell tower, serving as a porch, is attached. Between the altar and the northern arm of the cross is a small sacristy.

The side extensions and porch are decorated with four-column porticos with stairs and pediments. On the porch, slender paired columns are installed at the edges of the portico. The concise classicist decor of the facades is emphasized by simple cornices and framed window casings with sills.

The interior space of the church is connected by wide openings. Of particular interest are the two widely spaced columns in the openings leading to the side arms of the cross. The modest interior decoration mainly dates back to the late 19th and the first half of the 20th century. The side extensions and porch are adorned with four-column porticos with stairs and pediments. On the porch, slender paired columns are installed at the edges of the portico. The concise classicist decor of the facades is emphasized by simple cornices and framed window casings with sills.

In 1994, the parish community was revived. In 1997, with the blessing of Archbishop Melchizedek of Bryansk and Sevsk, the log structure of the church in honor of the Protection of the Holy Virgin, built in 1881-1883, was transported from the village of Ivot in the Dyatkovo district to Klimovo. Currently, services are held in this church.
