The first church in Novoderevyankovskaya was built in 1830, thanks to the efforts of parishioners and generous donations. It was a small wooden church with one dome and an iron roof, standing on a brick foundation. Its architecture reflected the influence of the Assumption Church from the neighboring Staroderevyankovsky settlement and some elements of the wooden Church of St. Catherine from Yekaterinodar. A total of 4050 rubles in silver was spent on the construction of the church, bell tower, and fence.

The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary had a chapel of St. John the Baptist, built and consecrated in 1881. It was located 18 versts from the stanitsa, in the settlement of General I.D. Popko.

In 1888 (according to other sources, in 1887), a one-class school was opened in the parish of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Novoderevyankovskaya. The curriculum focused primarily on the Law of God, which was studied six times a week and included prayers, sacred history, the order of worship, and the basics of doctrine. Classes were also held in church singing, reading church and secular literature, Russian language, writing, and arithmetic. Cossack Iosif Palchun built a house for the school.

In 1895, a preparatory class was opened at the church parish school, which was joined to the school as its first division on February 6, 1899. In the 1899/1900 academic year, 70 children were enrolled in three divisions of the school, including 10 girls.

On January 7, 1935, Komsomol members burned down the only functioning Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the district at that time.
