Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Dushkino

Фото 1
The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Dushkino has been known since 1609. Initially, it had one altar, and its roof was adorned with three domes. It remained in this form until 1808, when a strong storm blew off two of the domes. After that, the church was reconstructed: the domes were removed, and the bell tower was installed separately.

In 1858, the church's foundation was replaced with a stone one, and the bell tower was connected to the main building. In 1891, the wooden church was rebuilt.

After the Bolshevik revolution, the top of the church and the bell tower were dismantled. From 1937 to 1942, the church was closed for services and used as a grain storage facility. Since 1942, it has been active again, and the community of believers received registration in 2011.
