The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is located on a hill in the center of the village. The village of Davydychi was part of the parish of the village of Rekovichi. From 1733 to 1738, a wooden church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary was built here at the request of Captain Prince G.M. Zasekin. In 1787, it burned down, and in its place, a new wooden church was built in 1799 with funds from parishioners, peasants, and the Zasekin princes. In 1844, a northern chapel in honor of Alexander Nevsky was added, and in 1885, a bell tower was constructed.

During a major renovation conducted from 1887 to 1900, the building was reconstructed. The church walls were made of logs, covered with planks on the outside, and plastered on the inside, with a brick foundation. This is one of the unique monuments of wooden architecture in the region, representing a domed church with a central composition in the form of an equilateral cross, largely reflecting the forms of classical architecture. The main volume of the church has wide and short rectangular arms of the cross, covered with gable roofs, crowned in the center with a sixteen-sided drum topped with a high faceted dome and a blind octagon. On the western side, an elongated porch adjoins the church, with a quadrangular tier of bells, pierced by wide arches and topped with a faceted domed roof with an onion-shaped cupola.

With the advent of Soviet power, the church was desecrated and destroyed in the mid-20th century. A chapel was built on the site of the lost church.
