The stone Intercession Church in the village was built in 1837 with funds from Prince Baryatinsky, the owner of the Krupets district. According to eyewitnesses, the church looked very majestic: it had three domes, a bell tower with many bells, and a cross about 7 meters high. The church was heated by large stoves located under the floor, and its territory was surrounded by a stone fence. Unfortunately, no photographs or other images of the old church have survived.

In 1936, the cross and bells were removed from the church, after which it was looted. The building was planned to be used as a club, but ultimately it became a grain storage facility. During the Great Patriotic War, when the Germans entered Krupets in 1941, they continued to use the church as a warehouse, but later opened it for worship. After liberation in 1943, the church was closed again.

In 1958, powerful explosives were planted in the church to destroy it. As a result of the explosion, the bell tower and domes were destroyed, but the stone walls remained standing. The building was then decided to be divided into two floors, establishing a House of Culture and a cinema called 'Kosmos' there. In 1961, the 'New Club' opened for the villagers.

In 1994, the church was handed over to the Kursk Diocese, and services began to be held on the second floor.
