Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in Yurasovo

Фото 1
The church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Yurasovo was built in 1773 on the site of an old wooden church dedicated to Saint Nicholas. In addition to the main altar, consecrated in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, a chapel in the name of Saint Nicholas was created in the refectory part. In the early 1930s, the church was closed. During the Great Patriotic War, services were briefly resumed. During the Soviet era, the church building was first used as an elevator and then as a storage facility for chemical fertilizers, which led to its destruction. The refectory part and the bell tower were completely dismantled. The restoration of the church began in 1999, and since then, services have been held there again.
