In the former settlement of Lebedy, where the quarry of OAO 'LHGK' is now located, there stood a temple dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God 'Joy of All Who Sorrow'. It had two chapels: one in honor of this icon, and the other in the name of Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky. The temple was completely destroyed in 1982.
In memory of it, a temporary church, also dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God 'Joy of All Who Sorrow', was opened in September 2006 in the microdistrict of Lebedy. The new wooden church was built in five and a half months, and on September 3, 2011, His Eminence Ioann conducted its consecration.
Among the relics of the church are the icon of the Mother of God 'Joy of All Who Sorrow' and the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God, received with the blessing of the Holy Mountain Athos.
