The Nikolo-Odrin Monastery currently houses a revered copy of the icon of the Mother of God 'Intercessor of Sinners'. In 2002, the construction of a new church in her honor began, and in 2004 it was consecrated by Bishop Theophylact of Bryansk and Sevsk.

The name of the icon 'Intercessor of Sinners' is linked to the text on one of the scrolls placed at the corners of the image: 'I am the Intercessor of sinners before My Son, He has given Me to hear them.' This reflects the boundless love of the Mother of God for people, as she 'intercedes' with the Lord for us sinners. We have sinned and deserve punishment, but the Mother of God seeks to protect us with her grace and lead us to repentance. The inscription on the icon indicates that the Lord promises the Mother of God to always listen to her prayers for us.

In 1844, a merchant's wife named Pochepina came to the male monastery of Nikolo-Odrin with her two-year-old son, who was suffering from severe seizures. She asked for a moleben to be served before the icon 'Intercessor of Sinners', as she had a vision that her son would be healed. The icon was found in the monastery chapel, washed, and transferred to the church, where a moleben was served, after which the boy recovered. Soon, other miracles followed from the icon, and it became known as miraculous, especially during the cholera epidemic in 1847-1848.

In 1846, a hieromonk from the monastery went to Moscow to make a robe for the miraculous icon. He was hosted by Colonel D. N. Boncheskul, and in gratitude, the monastery sent him an exact copy of the icon. Boncheskul placed it in his home iconostasis, and soon an unusual light began to emanate from the image, and oily moisture started to flow from the icon. This moisture was used to anoint the sick, and they were healed. People began to come to the icon for healing.

In 1848, Boncheskul donated the icon 'Intercessor of Sinners' to the Nikolayev Church in Khamovniki. The flow of moisture continued, and the deacon distributed it to the parishioners. Later, the myrrh-flowing ceased, but unusual light phenomena appeared in the altar. The icon became famous for many healings and miracles.

Currently, the miraculous image of the Mother of God 'Intercessor of Sinners' is located in the Nikolo-Odrin Women's Monastery in the village of Odriino, Karachevsky District, Bryansk Region.
