In the early 20th century, A. G. Prosvirkin and M. N. Litvinov acquired a manor from the merchant family Sinitsyn and built a hotel in the Art Nouveau style on its site in 1909-1910. The project was developed by engineer M. Furmanov, who led the construction firm 'M.N. Litvinov and Co.' He applied American methods of constructing reinforced concrete buildings in his work. This was the first building in Voronezh equipped with a freight elevator.

From 1910 to 1912, the hotel was managed by S. K. Govsepian and O. O. Tuteloglu, who quickly made 'Bristol' and its namesake restaurant popular.

The Civil War changed the situation: the hotel became the headquarters of the Military Council, then the headquarters of the 3rd Kuban Cavalry Corps and the 10th Rifle Division. During this time, the famous writer A. P. Gaidar visited the building.

In the 1930s, the building regained its status as a hotel, but during the war, it lost it again. Writers, journalists, and other 'pen workers' settled there.

After the war, architect G. V. Zdebchinsky took on the restoration of the building. He managed to preserve its former appearance, aided by the lack of funds for significant reconstruction.

Today, 'Bristol' mainly houses offices of various companies.
