The 'Heritage' Museum Complex is a museum-exhibition and memorial complex that includes two historical buildings: the Old Man's House, which was the first to be relocated from the flooding zone in May 1953, located at 39 Sovetskaya Street, and a wooden house at 38A Sovetskaya Street, previously known as the Merchant's House. In the early 1950s, this house housed the city cinema and children's library. The museum was founded in 1997 to preserve the historical heritage of Stavropol, which was relocated due to the construction of the Kuibyshev Hydroelectric Power Station.

The main task of the museum complex is to preserve, study, and popularize the historical heritage associated with the relocation of Stavropol due to the construction of the Kuibyshev Hydroelectric Power Station. The museum reveals the changes in the cultural landscape of Stavropol in the mid-1950s, analyzing the material world of humans and the symbolic significance of living space. Through tangible monuments and images, the museum demonstrates the picture of a turning point era, preserving the connection between modern Tolyatti and the vanished Stavropol.

The museum's fund consists of 11,466 storage units, of which the main fund comprises 9,474 items, and the scientific auxiliary fund contains 1,992 items. The museum's collections include 'Documents', 'Visual Arts', 'Costume. Fabrics', 'Furniture', 'Numismatics. Bonistics. Phaleristics', 'Applied Arts, Household and Ethnography', 'Technical Objects', 'Rare Books', 'Philocartia. Philately', and 'Photodocuments'. Most of the historical and household items represent typical objects from the first half of the 20th century, reflecting the atmosphere of Stavropol homes in the 1950s.

The museum is visited by more than 4,000 people annually. It features a permanent exhibition 'The Old New City: The History of One House', which tells about a turning point in the city's life and recreates the appearance of a typical Stavropol resident's house from the mid-20th century. Visitors are shown a film 'Stavropol. Interrupted History', created based on photographs and newsreels.

The permanent exhibition 'One Day in the Life of City S.' invites visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a typical provincial house from the second half of the 20th century. The exhibition's exhibits introduce the life, household, and habits of the house's inhabitants. Photographs illustrate the fashion, hairstyles, and activities of people from that time. Interactive programs are organized for children.

Temporary and traveling exhibitions are also organized, dedicated to specific aspects of the city's history and outstanding citizens.
