The Dubrovsky District Local History Museum was founded in the summer of 2000 by the decision of the head of the Dubrovsky district administration, Khamitsky V. I., after the closure of the Partisan Glory Museum in the village of Bochary.

For 19 years, the museum has actively engaged in patriotic education of the youth and collecting memories from veterans of the Great Patriotic War and eyewitnesses of those years.

The museum has three exhibition halls. The first hall, "Dubrovka, Origins," is dedicated to the establishment of the settlement, linked to the construction of the Orel-Bryansk-Riga railway in 1868. Here, items and documents are presented that tell about the creation of enterprises and institutions in Dubrovka, as well as exhibits of peasant life from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The second hall, "Dubrovka in the War of 1941-1945," recounts the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the formation of the Dubrovsky fighter battalion, and the partisan unit that later became part of the Rognedino partisan brigade. Here, one can also learn about the work of the Dubrovsky underground and the youth underground organization, as well as the partisans of the First Kletnyansk Partisan Brigade. The exhibition features photographs, documents, and items that testify to the courage and resilience of local residents during the war.

The third hall, "Dubrovsky Land Can Be Proud Of," contains exhibits dedicated to the development of the Dubrovsky district in the post-war years and in our time. Here, one can see photographs and documents that tell about the famous people of the region and their achievements.

The museum's collection includes 1,250 exhibits and is annually replenished thanks to local residents who bring documents of their relatives and loved ones who participated in the Great Patriotic War. The museum is visited by about 5,000 people each year. It actively participates in district and regional events, attracting even more visitors. The museum serves as a link between the past and the future, carefully preserving the memory of the achievements and feats of its fellow countrymen.
