There were two churches at the Nepluev Cadet Corps. The first was a house church and was consecrated on September 17, 1872. The second, a field or camp church, was transferred to the corps in 1852 at the request of Governor-General Vasily Alexeyevich Perovsky. The house church had a wooden iconostasis created in 1872, while the camp church had a removable one painted on canvas in 1885. The altars of both churches were dedicated to the Resurrection of Christ.

The corps also housed a third iconostasis. In the altar of the church were unique monuments of ecclesiastical antiquity: the iconostasis of the field church of the Resurrection of Christ, gifted by Peter the Great to his godson, Kalmyk Taisha Baksaday-Dorodzhi, known after baptism as Pyotr Petrovich Taishin, as well as an antimins, chalice, star, cross, and other church items. This church was long used for services in Cossack settlements, and in 1852, at the request of the Orenburg Governor-General Count Perovsky and with the highest permission, it was transferred to the Orenburg Cadet Corps.

Currently, the building houses an educational building of the medical academy. The dome over the church has recently been restored. On the northern side of the territory, a chapel has been preserved, from which the cross and dome have been removed, and the roof has been rebuilt.
