The house of architect Turchevich is one of the landmarks of Perm. On May 20, 1993, the building was recognized as a monument of architecture and urban planning by the decision of the Small Council of the Perm Regional Council. A plaque confirming this status is installed on the wall of the house.

The history of the site where the house stands begins on May 10, 1782, when it was allocated to the wife of soldier Pyotr Borodin, Anisya, for construction. However, on May 15, 1783, as it was not built upon, it was transferred to the copyist Fyodor Gorodsky. On the city plan of Perm in 1822, the site was marked as occupied by a wooden residential house and a service building. In 1886, the owner of the site became Alexander Fedorovich Klinberg. In the 1890s, the site passed to architect A. B. Turchevich and his wife, actress Olga Petrovna Smerdina. Previously, there was a demolished semi-stone house of A. M. Blagovidov.

On March 24, 1892, Olga Petrovna Turchevich submitted a request and project for the construction of a semi-stone two-story house and single-story wooden services at the corner of Ekaterininskaya and Verkhoturskaya streets to the City Administration of Perm. However, architect V. V. Popatenko pointed out the project's non-compliance with building regulations. After revisions, the project was approved on May 12, 1892. By 1898, the house was built, as its value was assessed for taxation at 5,000 rubles, and in 1899, at 4,873 rubles. Since 1898, the first private design organization founded by Turchevich operated in this house. An advertisement for the services of this organization for project development and construction is preserved in the address calendar for 1908.

Alexander Bonaventurovich passed away in 1909. After the October Revolution, the house was confiscated from Olga Petrovna. In the 1920s, it belonged to Komkhoz and was used by the VI Technical Section 'Kamraikombvod' as an orphanage. In 1933, there were a house and a school for the deaf and mute. In the 1950s, by order of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, the fishery management 'Kamuralrybgosvod' was located here. Currently, the building houses the Kama-Ural Basin Management for Fishing and Protection of Aquatic Biological Resources, as well as the Department of State Control and Supervision for the Perm Region.
