On modern Socialist Street in Rostov-on-Don stands a pre-revolutionary mansion known as Pavlov's income house, built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. This three-story building was originally intended for renting out apartments. The owner of the house, an enterprising Rostov resident, successfully ran his business, but after the establishment of Soviet power, his property was confiscated. Nothing is known about the further fate of V.A. Pavlov, and the house itself turned into communal housing and gradually fell into disrepair.

Today, people live on the two upper floors of the building, while the first floor is designated for shops and offices. The house has been recognized as a cultural heritage site of regional significance.
