One of the most beautiful pre-revolutionary mansions on Suvorov Street in Rostov-on-Don is the income house of merchant Kostin, built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Its client and owner was the famous Rostov merchant Efim Yakovlevich Kostin. The building, designed with elements of Baroque, impresses with its beauty. Initially, the house contained comfortable apartments for rent. Today, the house is located at Suvorova Street, 29/37 and is recognized as a monument of regional architectural significance.

Before the arrival of Soviet power, the building was located at Malaya-Sadovaya Street 37/35, which was later renamed. In addition to the income house, the merchant owned an oil mill. The house belonged to him personally, while the mill was owned by him and his wife, Domna Ivanovna Kostina. The couple had three sons: Vasily managed a store selling gingerbread, Stepan ran the oil mill, and Philip worked in the office of the city's first police station. After the Bolsheviks came to power, the building was confiscated, the four-story house suffered and was in neglect for a long time, but it has survived to this day. Recently, it was restored, with special attention given to the facade, and it is now included in the list of cultural heritage sites of regional significance.
