The Vvedensko-Nikolayevskaya Church is located within the city limits, not far from the trading rows. In 1710, a fire occurred in Yuriev, resulting in the destruction of the wooden cathedral church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Of all the monastery's buildings, only the Nikonskaya Church survived. In 1725, a stone chapel was added in honor of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to replace the lost church. From 1763 to 1766, thanks to the efforts of Abbess Agafiya and the parishioners, a new stone cathedral church was built in honor of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary, featuring five domes.

From 1811 to 1826, a new four-tiered stone bell tower was constructed next to the cathedral church, replacing the old dilapidated one. Beneath it, holy gates were arranged. The restored Vvedenskaya Church became a parish church. It has three altars: in the cold part in honor of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in the warm part, in the name of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and of the Venerable Nikon. Both churches and the bell tower are surrounded by a stone fence.

Church documents have been preserved in full: copies of the metric books since 1802, confession lists since 1827, and an inventory of church property compiled in 1854 is kept in the church. The church owns a stone watchman's lodge. The land plot associated with the church includes 1015 square fathoms of homestead land and 10 desyatins 1966 square fathoms of arable land. The land plan and boundary book are also kept in the church. The clergy staff includes a priest, a deacon, and a psalmist. The annual income of the clergy amounts to up to 1385 rubles, including interest from church capital, income from land, sacramental fees, and other church services. The parish includes 65 households, 332 men, and 387 women.
