Next to Tikhvinskoye is the village of Krasnoe on the Volga, first mentioned in documents from the 1620s as the property of Prince A.G. Dolgorukov. At that time, two wooden churches already stood here: the Church of St. George and the Church of the Presentation, built by the village owner. The modern Church of the Presentation was laid in 1724, when Krasnoe belonged to the famous associate of Peter I, A.D. Menshikov. After his fall in 1727, construction was halted and only completed in 1752. It is known that the Yaroslavl factory owner P.M. Nechaev participated in the completion of the construction, whose descendants were among the contributors and parishioners of the church in the early 19th century.

The architectural center of the building is an elongated square structure from west to east, above which rises a faceted drum with a dome and a decorative spire. To the east, there is a semicircular two-story apse, and to the west, an open gallery-porch located on the second floor of the summer Church of the Presentation. At the western wall of the porch stood a pillar-like bell tower, which has not survived.

The volumetric-spatial solution of the church is unusual for local architecture and resembles churches in St. Petersburg, such as the Annunciation Church of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra and the Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul Fortress. The originality of the architecture indicates that the church was built as a family estate, and its composition reflected the tastes of the village owner, Prince Menshikov. The northern and southern facades of the building are designed identically. Three small windows on the lower floor, where the warm Church of St. Nicholas was located, have rounded tops and are framed with a roll. The rectangular windows of the second and third tiers lack decoration. A belt of a cornice runs between the floors and under the cornice. The western facade is completed with a high decorative wall of curvilinear shapes, a similar wall adorns the upper part of the eastern facade of the square structure. The treatment of the lower window openings of the Church of the Presentation resembles the Annunciation Church in the village of Blagoveshchenye, built in 1754 at the sources of the Cheremukha River.

Descriptions from the last century testify to the rich interior decoration of the Church of the Presentation, which, unfortunately, is now lost.
