The village of Voyutino is located by the Oka River and the Viselka River, 18 versts from the district town. In the land books of 1628-1630, the village of Voyutino is mentioned, owned by the widow Nastasya Ivashova, where there was a clerk's yard and 12 peasant households; nothing is said about the church in these books. The parish village of Tolstikovo, owned by the landowner Vsevolotsky, is also indicated in these books.

The exact date of the construction of the first church in Voyutino is unknown, but it existed until 1676, as the records of the Ryazan diocese for that year mention the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in the village of Voyutino, which had the yard of priest Ivan, and the parish counted 38 households and 1 household of a landless peasant; the villages of Tolstikovo and Kamennitsa had 17 peasant households.

From 1716 to 1721, a new wooden church was built in Voyutino with the blessing of Bishop Silvester of Ryazan. The builder was priest Alexey Ivanov from the Moscow Ivanovsky Convent, who erected it in memory of his parents and relatives. In 1765, the church was rebuilt and consecrated with the blessing of Bishop Palladius of Ryazan. This church in its expanded form still exists in Voyutino today. In 1881, a new wooden bell tower was built.

The church has three altars: the main one in the name of the Resurrection of Christ, and in the chapels, in the name of the Life-Giving Trinity and in honor of Saint Martyr Paraskeva. Among the icons, the icon of the Mother of God "Relieve My Sorrows" is especially venerated, in honor of which a holiday is established in the parish on July 28. Also noteworthy is a small icon carved from black stone, depicting Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker and the Mother of God. An ancient Synodic is kept in the church library, which notes the construction of the temple in 1716.

The clergy of the church consists of a priest and a psalmist. The clergy members have their own houses on church land. The land associated with the church includes: homestead land, 1 dessiatina, arable land, 27 dessiatinas, haymaking land, 4 dessiatinas, as well as 18 dessiatinas of unusable land under shrubs, ravines, and watercourses. There is a plan and a copy from the land registry for the land. The parish includes the village of Voyutino and the village of Tolstikovo, where the clerical records list 1123 men and 1135 women. Since 1871, a zemstvo public school has been operating in the village of Voyutino, and since 1890, a church-parish school in the village of Tolstikovo.
