The village of Grigorovo, located by the Dubrovka River, is 20 versts from the district town. In the land books of 1629-1630, it is mentioned as the estate of Matvey Afanasyevich Novosilsky. At that time, the village had an estate for the landowners, one peasant household, and one cottager's household. The church is not mentioned in these records.

In the second half of the 17th century, a church was built in Grigorovo in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. According to the salary books of 1676, this church was associated with a noble household where the steward lived, and 14 peasant households. There is no further information about the church in Grigorovo, only that in 1868 a new church was built to replace the old wooden one.

The new church is also wooden, with a similar bell tower. It has one altar dedicated to the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. The church is well supplied with utensils, vestments, and liturgical books. The Kazan Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos, painted in ancient times, is especially venerated by the parishioners and residents of the surrounding areas. The crown and the halo on the icon are silver with gilding. The church is served by a priest and a psalmist. The parish includes the village of Grigorovo and the village of Korikovo, where the clerical records list 610 men and 660 women.
