The village of Grigor'evo is the administrative center of the Grigor'evskoe rural settlement in the Gus-Khrustal'ny district. The village is home to the Zakol'pe railway platform on the Moscow-Murom line. A stone church has been preserved in Grigor'evo. According to the "Historical and Statistical Description of Churches and Parishes of the Vladimir Diocese," compiled by Vasily Gavrilovich Dobronravov, a wooden church was originally built here in 1879 in honor of the Life-Giving Trinity. However, in 1892, a new stone church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was erected in Grigor'evo with funds from the parishioners. The church had one altar dedicated to the Exaltation of the Life-Giving Cross. It was fully equipped with church utensils, a sacristy, holy images, and liturgical books. The parish was served by a priest and a psalmist, who received a salary from the treasury of 400 rubles, as well as income from services and bread collection of up to 250 rubles per year. Next to the church was a house for the priest and psalmist. The land plot near the church was about 2 dessiatinas. The parish included the village of Grigor'evo and the villages of Makhonino, Dudoreva, and Stepanova, as well as parishioners from the villages of Zakol'pe and Okatovo. According to data from 1897, there were 254 men and 284 women in the parish. A church-parish school operated at the church, where 42 students were enrolled in 1897. In 1903, a Moscow benefactor from the Old Believers built a church for the same faith in the village, but no later information about it has survived.

The Cross Exaltation Church was looted in 1926, and the icons were burned. On January 16, 1941, the church was closed by the decision of the Gus-Khrustal'ny district executive committee, and in February this decision was approved by the Ivanovo regional executive committee. In 1941, the bells were removed, and from 1942, the building was used as a warehouse and grain storage. During the period of atheism, the church was transferred to the management of the collective farm, the domes and bell tower were demolished, and the wall paintings were almost completely destroyed. The cemetery next to the church was leveled, and the gravestones were destroyed. The church fence was dismantled for bricks. From 1963 to 1981, the church building housed a rural House of Culture. To create a second floor, the walls were covered with rails. In 1972, a sewing workshop opened on the upper floor, and later the space was used as a woodworking shop. In 1992, the building was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church. After labor-intensive repairs, the church was consecrated again in 1997. The church is not painted, and most of the utensils were brought from Sofrino in the Moscow region. On the site of the former cemetery, Archpriest Ioann Pozdev and parishioners installed a large wooden cross. In 1992, the church was assigned to the Zakol'pe parish. In 2000, a Sunday school was opened in the village.
