The Resurrection Church in Burmakino is the main local attraction, for which we turned off the main road and overcame the bumps along the way. Built in 1739 by the efforts of the parishioners, it is a beautiful example of the Yaroslavl architectural school of the 18th century, reflecting the traditions of 17th-century architecture that have already disappeared in Yaroslavl but can still be found in places like Uglich or the village of Velikoye on the way to Rostov. In Burmakino, the church stands out with its large five-domed structure, which, although somewhat diminished in grandeur, still impresses. This five-domed structure is decorative in nature, with blind drums and a closed vault of the square base, indicating the influence of Kostroma architecture. The windows are asymmetrically shifted towards the altar, a legacy of ornamentation. A large refectory connects two chapels: the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and Saints Simeon the God-Receiver and Anna the Prophetess. Previously existing kokoshniks were later bricked up, creating an eclectic appearance of the first half of the 18th century.

The church is distinguished by its monumentality, crowned with a decorative five-domed structure. The massive, column-free, and two-light square base of the temple has a faceted apse to the east and a spacious two-chapel refectory to the west. The facade is adorned with rich decor, including window frames in the Naryshkin Baroque style with a broken pediment. Inside, an 18th-century baroque iconostasis has been preserved, as well as wall paintings with gospel scenes, framed in luxurious frames. The wall paintings have been repeatedly updated: in 1856, the temple was decorated with paintings by the blessing of Archbishop Nil of Yaroslavl and Rostov, as evidenced by an inscription on the wall. The original paintings were updated both in the mid-19th century and in the early 20th century. After the restoration in the 2000s, bright paintings stylized as early painting appeared on the cornices of the southern and northern facades.

The completion of the temple ensemble occurred with the construction of a stone fence with three-span arched gates, characteristic of the last century. Unfortunately, the separately standing two-tiered tent bell tower was lost, and in its place, a small St. Peter and Paul Church with a three-span belfry was built in 2010. This structure harmoniously fits into the ensemble, complementing its appearance.
