The village of Pertcovo is located 12 versts from the district town and 110 versts from the provincial center. Until 1764, it belonged to the Pereslavl Goritsky Monastery, and then it was transferred to state property.

The church in Pertcovo existed as early as the beginning of the 17th century, but by 1629 it had become abandoned. The land where the Church of the Resurrection of Christ once stood is mentioned only in the land books of 1628 and 1629. A probable reason for its desolation could have been the Lithuanian devastation that affected many churches.

On this site, a new church was built and consecrated in honor of the Resurrection of Christ in 1643. In 1799, there was also a wooden church in Pertcovo with the same name, as indicated in the report on the churches of the Pereslavl district for that year. No information about possible reconstructions of the church has survived over its one-and-a-half-century history.

In 1829, thanks to the efforts of the parishioners, a stone temple was built in place of the wooden church, which still exists today. The temple has two altars: in the cold part, in honor of the Resurrection of Christ, and in the warm chapel, in the name of the holy unmercenaries Cosmas and Damian. The church is well-equipped with utensils, vestments, holy icons, and liturgical books. All church documents are in order: there are copies of the metric books from 1795 and confession lists from 1828.
