The village of Goloventsyno is located 27 versts from Vladimir. In the 17th and 18th centuries, it belonged to various landowners. In the patriarchal treasury books from 1656, it is mentioned as "the church of the Resurrection of Christ in the village of Goloventsyno in the estate of various landowners, with a tribute of 15 altyn 3 denga." In 1746, it was recorded that "the church of the Resurrection of Christ in the village of Goloventsyno" was taxed 76 and a half kopecks.

In the 18th century, there was a wooden church in the village, which was dismantled in 1807 due to its dilapidated condition. In its place, a stone church was built in honor of the Resurrection of Christ, with an altar dedicated to the Protection of the Holy Virgin, constructed through the efforts of landowner Yakov Mikhailovich Fedoseyev. Next to the church, a stone bell tower was built.

Copies of the metric books from 1803 and confession lists from 1829 have been preserved. An inventory of church property compiled in 1844 is kept in the church. The church land comprises 33 desyatinas, but there is no plan for it. The clergy staff includes a priest and a psalmist, and the annual income from land and offerings amounts to 600 rubles. The clergy has church houses. The parish includes the village and the village of Vorontsovo, with a total of 84 households, housing 338 men and 343 women.
