The first record of the Resurrection Church in the patriarchal registration books dates back to 1628. It is noted that this was the "Church of the Resurrection of Christ in the estate of the boyar Prince Fyodor Ivanovich Mstislavsky, Princess Irina in Yeropolch on Gogolev Hill on Tetrukha." According to the scribes' books of 1653, there were three priestly households, a deacon's household, households of sextons and prosphora bakers, 13 households of church paupers, 3 households of beggars, as well as 351 peasant households and 35 households of paupers and neighbors. The church's arable land amounted to 33 quarters in the field, and there were 100 hay stacks. This data indicates that the Resurrection parish was quite populous. A feature of the parish was the presence of a deacon, which was rare for parish churches at that time.

In 1710, seven priests served at the Resurrection Church. In 1712, a new wooden church was built in the name of the Resurrection of Christ with chapels in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and Saint Martyr Paraskeva. In 1735, this church burned down due to a lightning strike, and from 1736 to 1764, a stone church was built in its place. This church has three altars: the main one in the name of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, in the warm refectory, in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and Saint George the Victorious, which was established in 1888.

According to the staffing schedule, the parish included two priests, a deacon, and two psalmists. Their maintenance was provided by income from church land and services, amounting to up to 800 rubles per year. The houses of the clergy members were located on church land and were their property.

Since 1841, a public school operated in the Resurrection parish, which by the end of the 19th century was funded by the zemstvo. In 1896, 35 students were enrolled there.
