The Church of the Resurrection of Christ, belonging to the Korsun Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, is located in Zurich. The church has a Sunday school, social service, youth-family club, and courses in Russian as a foreign language with the study of Church Slavonic.

In the 1930s, disagreements arose in the Zurich parish of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia. According to Metropolitan Evlogy (Georgievsky), the cause was dissatisfaction over the transfer of Priest Vladimir Gusev, who was respected by the parishioners. Archbishop Seraphim [Lukyanov] unjustly transferred him from Zurich, despite the support of the parishioners. As a result, in 1936, the priest and most of the parishioners moved to the jurisdiction of Metropolitan Evlogy, who was under the Patriarchate of Constantinople. In 1945, Metropolitan Evlogy decided to reunite with the Moscow Patriarchate. However, after his death, most of the clergy and laity preferred to remain in the Patriarchate of Constantinople, but the Resurrection parish in Bern remained loyal to the Russian Orthodox Church.

The parish was located in a two-room apartment on the first floor of a house on Kinkelstrasse, 36. One room served as a refectory and a place for candles, while the other was the church with a small iconostasis.

In 1946, the second priest became Archimandrite Seraphim (Rodionov). In 1949, Priest Vladimir Gusev was appointed to The Hague, and Archimandrite Seraphim became the rector in Zurich, leading the parish for 45 years. During his ministry, Swiss people also joined the parish. Priest Igor Batov noted that Bishop Seraphim sought to attract the local population to Orthodoxy, seeing this as a special mission of the Russian emigrants.

At the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, the Resurrection parish significantly decreased. However, in the early 1990s, the situation changed: after the collapse of the USSR, many emigrants settled in Switzerland, which increased the number of parishioners.
