In 1762, a wooden church was built with funds from the local landowner, retired councilor Mikhail Ivanovich Yazykov, who lived in his estate in Daniltsovo. After its construction, at the request of local residents, the village was renamed Daniltsovo-Yazykovo.

The church was located in the village cemetery. In 1858, it was renovated: a stone foundation was laid, the roof was covered with iron, the walls were clad with planks, and the interior was plastered, making it warm. In 1878, thanks to the efforts of parishioners, a wooden bell tower and a fence were built next to the church. The main structure of the church was topped with a four-pitched iron roof with a square drum. The building was clad with planks featuring rich decor. Two doors led into it from the western and northern facades, in front of which were arranged porches with gabled roofs. On the northern, western, and southern facades, there were octagonal lucarnes above the exits. The lucarne on the northern facade was hidden under the cladding, while on the western it opened into the first tier of the bell tower. An iconostasis with carvings and gilding on a blue background was installed in the church. Before the bell tower was built, according to local residents, a bell tower stood next to the church on four pillars. The Vladimir church was distinguished by its unique architectural forms, classifying it among the group of cell churches with a four-pitched roof.

On July 24, 1941, the church was closed by the decision of the Kovrov district executive committee and was used by the collective farm 'Second Five-Year Plan' as a warehouse. The village of Danilovo, which had more than 200 residents in the early 20th century, was officially abolished in 1964 as 'unpromising.' The church was listed as a cultural heritage site of the Kovrov district as a monument of regional significance.

Over time, the church's roof collapsed, the cladding peeled off in places, and the structure began to rot. In 1983, the last residents of Danilovo moved to neighboring villages, and the settlement ceased to exist. At the end of 1990, a resident of a neighboring village accidentally damaged the church building with a tractor, after which it was completely destroyed. Only the stone remnants of the foundation, rotted wrought and wooden elements, and small fragments of the iron roof remained of the church. The old cemetery has almost disappeared, with gravestones scattered in the forest. No new burials have been found. The cemetery still has the gravestone of priest Ivan Georgievich Delektorovsky, a native of the Murom district, who served as the rector of the church in Danilovo and the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in Marinino for 30 years. In honor of the 250th anniversary of the church's construction, on June 30, 2012, a cross was erected near the site where it stood for 228 years and where services were held for 179 years.
