Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God in Bulanovo

Vladimir Mikhailovich invested a lot of effort, energy, and resources into this endeavor. A small brick factory was even built nearby for construction. Eggs were collected throughout the area to prepare the mortar for bricklaying. An architect was invited from Moscow, and the construction was overseen by Tarasov himself. However, the building collapsed before the finishing work began, as the arches could not withstand the load. The construction was delayed, serious financial difficulties arose, but the noble impulse did not fade.

A lot of funds were invested in the decoration of the church: wonderful icons, expensive chandeliers, and coverings were installed. The temple was consecrated on May 24, 1911, and shortly before that, the Vladimir diocesan bulletin reported: "Alexey Pospelov, who completed the seminary course, was appointed priest in the village of Bulano in the Vladimir district on April 25."

For the parishioners of the new church, the transportation and raising of the bell became a real event. It was delivered from Moscow to the Koloksha station and then dragged to Bulanovo. During the raising, the bell slipped, but an experienced person was invited, who, sitting on the bell, gave commands. Thus, it was successfully raised. The bell weighed 700 poods. During the Great Patriotic War, it was dropped and buried deep in the ground, but it did not break and was taken away for melting. Large icons were used to build the club stage, while a small part ended up with the residents of nearby villages and has survived to this day.
