On the steep high bank of the Kasty River lies the ancient village of Uspenskoe. Until 2006, a one-story wooden manor house, part of the extensive noble estate of the Ushakovs, was preserved here.

The estate complex included the Church of the Assumption of the Mother of God, which has partially survived to this day. This church is included in the list of cultural heritage sites and monuments of history and culture of regional significance in the Yaroslavl region. The church was built in 1764 with funds from a parishioner, the boyar Ivan Ivanovich Pozdeev. The church had three altars: in honor of the Assumption of the Mother of God, Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and the Venerable Alexander of Svir.

The architectural composition of the church consisted of three parts: a high square base topped with an octagonal dome and a cupola on an octagonal lantern, a semi-circular apse, a rectangular refectory, and a bell tower. According to archival data and photographs, the bell tower was attached to the refectory, rather than standing separately. During the Soviet era, the refectory and bell tower were destroyed, leaving only the two-tiered square base, consisting of a square and an octagon. The corners of the square base are adorned with pairs of pilasters. The middle windows are framed by brick semi-columns and topped with kokoshniks in the shape of three petals. The walls of the octagon are smooth, and the window frames of the second tier are similar to those of the lower tier, with cross-shaped niches beneath the windows. Each tier is crowned with a cornice made of projecting bricks with a small ledge. The octagon's lantern is illuminated.

On the north side of the church is a picturesque former noble park, established in the mid-19th century. The park still features cedar, thuja, and silver fir trees. Previously, the paths in the park were paved with bricks. A dam was built on the river, creating a large pond where carp were bred. In the late 19th century, the landowner of the village built a school for the peasants with a free public library-reading room. After the revolution, the school building housed a recreation center, while the church was used as a club. Since 1941, neither the church nor the school has been in use.
