According to the scribal books of 1628 and 1630, the village of Sinzhany belonged to Prince Ivan Borisovich Cherkassky as a dowry estate, inherited from the boyar Vasily Petrovich Morozov. The village had the church of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist, built by laypeople, where a priest and a deacon served.

The same owner also owned the villages of Danilova and Sofronova, which still belong to the Sinzhany parish.

In the revenue books of 1676 regarding the Sinzhany parish, it is noted: "in the village of Sinzhany, the church of St. John the Baptist; next to it is the house of priest Maxim and deacons, in the parish: a boyar's house, where a clerk lives, 27 peasant households and 6 landless households."

The mentioned church of St. John the Baptist existed in Sinzhany until 1780, when it became so dilapidated that it became dangerous to serve in it. With the blessing of Bishop Hieronymus of Vladimir, a new wooden church was built.

A little earlier, in 1772, a warm wooden church in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was erected in Sinzhany.

In 1863, the construction of a stone temple began, the altar of which was completed and consecrated in 1868, and the main church in 1881. After that, the wooden churches were dismantled.

In the new temple, there are three altars: the main one in the name of the Life-Giving Trinity, in the altar, in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and St. John the Baptist.

The church is well supplied with utensils, vestments, holy icons, and liturgical books. From earlier times, the altar Gospel has been preserved with the inscription: "In the year 7165, on August 29, I contributed this holy book and soul-saving, leading all Orthodox Christians into the heavenly kingdom and into eternal life, the altar Gospel in the Murom district, village of Sinzhany, in the church of the Beheading of the Honorable Head of the Holy Prophet and Baptist of the Lord John, Life-Giving Cross and the cathedral of Archangel Michael, born, who was in the world deacon Ivan Alexeyev, and in monasticism Joseph, and the velvet on the Gospel, gilded silver Evangelists with fasteners and beetles, and by God's will with my help, the sinful monk, I gathered and collected and by the donations of parishioners and all kinds of laypeople and Muscovites, the Holy Gospel was built, and I contributed it at the hands of priest Izmail Ivanov and granted it to him for prosphora and for the liturgy in his holy prayers, may he unforgettably perform, and after my death remember my soul and my parents."

In the church archive, a certificate issued by Bishop Hieronymus in 1780 for the construction of the temple has been preserved.
