The village of Zayastryabye, formerly known as Krutz, is located 50 versts from Vladimir and 12 versts from the district town of Pokrov. Until 1764, it, along with the parish villages, belonged to the Kostroma Ipatiev Monastery. The patriarchal records of 1650 mention a church in honor of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity. Documents from the patriarchal treasury office in 1702 state that there was a wooden church in Zayastryabye with one dome, covered with wooden shingles, and the cross was clad in white German iron. An altar in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker was added to the church, which was not consecrated, along with a bell tower containing three bells. Another wooden church in honor of the Life-Giving Trinity was empty and had two domes, also covered with wooden shingles.

In 1782, the church burned down along with almost all its property, and soon a new wooden church in honor of the Life-Giving Trinity was built on its site. From 1829 to 1840, a stone temple was erected in place of the wooden church. Initially, it had two altars: a cold one in honor of the Life-Giving Trinity and a warm one in the refectory in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. In 1860, another altar was added in the refectory in honor of the Baptism of the Lord. Initially, an iconostasis and icons from the old wooden church were installed in the cold temple, but from 1876 to 1878, the iconostasis was updated, and some icons were replaced with new ones. The church is well supplied with utensils, vestments, holy icons, and liturgical books. Due to the fire in 1782, ancient icons and old utensils did not survive in the church.

According to the staff, the church has a priest, a deacon, and a psalmist. Their maintenance is funded through land, grain collections from parishioners, and services, amounting to up to 750 rubles per year. The homes of the clergy are located on church land. The parish includes the village of Zayastryabye and six villages, with clerical records listing 963 men and 1096 women. Since 1885, a church-parish school has been operating in the village.
