In the 18th century, Bykovo was privately owned. In the second half of this century, it belonged to landowner Varvara Alexeyevna Kashintseva, and before the abolition of serfdom, to landowner Fyodor Andreyevich Mylnikov. In 1794, Varvara Alexeyevna Kashintseva built a church in the village in honor of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity. It was a stone building with a bell tower. Later, Fyodor Andreyevich Mylnikov, along with the peasants, erected a stone fence around the church.

The church had three altars: the main, cold altar in honor of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity, and two warm altars in the refectory, in honor of Saint Dmitry of Rostov the Miracle Worker and Saint Nicholas the Miracle Worker. Among the ancient relics was a shroud, embroidered on half-velvet with iconographic images, gifted by landowner Kuzmina.

Copies of the metric books from 1811 and confession lists from 1810 have been preserved. An inventory of church property, compiled in 1810, was also kept in the church.

The land associated with the church included one tithe of homestead and 33 tithes of arable land; there was no haymaking land. Documents for the land were absent.

The clergy consisted of a priest and a psalmist. The annual income of the clergy amounted to 710 rubles: 200 rubles from interest on church capital, 200 rubles for sacramental services, 110 rubles from land, and 392 rubles in the form of subsidies from the treasury. The clergy had their own houses on church land.

The parish included the village with 19 households and the villages of Gridino and Malakhovo, located no more than three versts from the church. In total, the parish counted 65 households, with 226 men and 237 women residing in them. There were no obstacles to communication with the villages.
