The Shalobolino Trinity parish was founded in 1852. The only church in the parish, made of stone, was built in 1851 with funds from the parishioners, mainly thanks to the former peasant of the village of Poylovo, Joseph Ivanovich Artemyev, who was a gold miner and worked hard to decorate the temple. The church has two altars: the main one in honor of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity and a chapel in honor of the Nativity of Christ. The temple was consecrated by the Tomsk bishop Athanasius on September 30, 1853. The fence around the church was also made of stone. The parish had two church-parish schools, and a guardianship and sobriety society were established.

During the revolution, when churches were being destroyed, the Holy Trinity temple was closed, and the priest Father Alexander Sukhovsky was hanged on the bell tower. Soon, the local authorities decided to remove the cross from the dome of the temple. They harnessed horses for this purpose, but they unexpectedly fell to their knees, and the tractor stalled, leaving the cross in place, only slightly tilted. When they were demolishing the dome, lightning struck, and a fire broke out, which did not damage either the temple or the cross.

In October 2006, Archbishop Antony of the Krasnoyarsk-Yenisei Diocese transferred the Holy Trinity temple to the management of the Holy Ascension Women's Monastery. The restoration of the temple began under the guidance of the abbess of the Holy Ascension Women's Monastery, Mother Ekaterina Balva. In November 2007, based on a project by A.F. Blokhin, K.Yu. Shumov, and A.G. Shumova, carried out in the early 1990s, work commenced. The first Liturgy in the restored temple took place on Christmas, January 7, 2009, conducted by priest Father Georgy Makhatadze from the Holy Ascension Monastery. A significant event was the consecration and installation of the crosses and domes on May 27, 2009.
