The church was built in 1773 by Moscow merchant Leonid Milovanov on the site of an old wooden church, which was consecrated in honor of the Great Martyr Paraskeva Friday. The new church was dedicated to the Holy Trinity. In 1841, it was expanded with funds from parishioners of Shatsk, thanks to merchant Nikolai Osin.

The church has three altars: the main one in honor of the Holy Trinity, the right one, in honor of All Saints, and the left one, in honor of the Great Martyr Barbara.

In the 1930s, the church was closed, and its building was converted into an incubator workshop. In 1990, the church was returned to the Orthodox Church, and on July 9, 1993, the main altar was consecrated in honor of the Holy Trinity.

In 1995, Archbishop Simon of Ryazan and Kasimov consecrated the right altar in honor of All Saints. In 1999, work began on creating the main iconostasis, which was completed in 2006.

In 2001, the dome was restored and a cross covered with gold leaf was installed. In 2002-2003, a bell tower was built. In 2003, Archbishop Pavel of Ryazan and Kasimov consecrated the left altar in honor of the Great Martyr Barbara, as well as the bells and the spire with a gilded cross on the dome of the bell tower.

In 2008, an iconostasis was installed in the altar of the Great Martyr Barbara, covered with gold leaf, and restoration work on the facade of the entire church was completed.

The church has a library and a children's Sunday school.
