Church of the Holy Trinity in Krivets (Lost)

Фото 1
The stone church in the former village of Krivets was built in 1766 by landowner Iosif Ivanovich Kozhin on the site of an old wooden structure from 1726. The church has three altars: in honor of the Holy Trinity, Saint Nicholas, and Saint Macarius of Kalazin. The main holiday of the church is celebrated on the day of the Holy Trinity. The church houses relics of saints: in the icons of Saint Dmitry of Rostov and Saint Macarius of Kalazin, as well as in the cross on the altar of Saint Macarius. These icons, along with the icon of the Mother of God of the Life-Giving Spring, are held in special reverence by the parishioners. Saint Macarius was from the Kozhin family, so there is a burial place of this family near Kalazin, and in Krivets, under the church, are buried the builder's son Alexander Osipovich, his daughter, and son.

The church land occupies 62 desyatins and 821 square sazhen. There are two church houses on the territory: one for the priest's residence and the other for the church watchman. The church capital amounts to 457 rubles. The parish includes 684 men and 735 women. The village is located on a high picturesque bank of the Volga, and the villages are situated 1 to 4 versts from the church. Since 1885, a church school and guardianship have been operating in the village. The clergy staff includes a priest and a psalmist, and the parish capital amounts to 2928 rubles and 82 kopecks.
