The village of Baykovo is located in the Pochinkovsky district and is known for its architectural monument, the Trinity Church, which, according to state lists of monuments in the Nizhny Novgorod region, dates back to 1820. However, the "Address Calendar of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese" for 1904 states that the stone church was built in 1890. The church has three altars: the main one is dedicated to the Holy Trinity, the right one to Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky and Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and the left one to the Venerable Sergius and Nikon of Radonezh.

The book "Saint Venerable Sergius and the Nizhny Novgorod Land" mentions that before the Great Patriotic War, there were three Orthodox churches in the village of Boykovo: the Trinity, the Intercession, and the cemetery church of St. Michael. The central stone Trinity church with a bell tower was built between 1890 and 1894 with funds from parishioners, with the main benefactor being the church elder peasant A.Z. Yermolaev. The wooden Intercession church was erected in 1908, and the cemetery church in honor of Archangel Michael was built in 1914 with funds from Ivan Yakimovich Kochenov. These churches have not survived to this day. In 1912, church elder Ivan Ivanovich Lavrov built a stone fence with holy gates around the Trinity church, paid for the church's painting and gilding of the iconostasis, and also donated funds for the interior decoration. He also built a stone building for the church parish school in the village and was awarded by the Holy Synod for his efforts. During the Soviet era, on April 2, 1941, the villagers decided to convert the Trinity church into a school and the Intercession church into a club. Later, the Trinity church housed a collective farm warehouse. In 1998, the church was transferred to a new parish community, and today it has been restored, and services are held there.
