The brick five-domed church on a basement is surrounded by galleries on the north and west sides. The main volume of the building is a column-free two-light square, slightly elongated along the north-south axis and covered with a barrel vault with arches. An open staircase leads to the western gallery, above which rises a tiered tent-shaped bell tower. Currently, the church is in a state of disrepair and needs urgent restoration.

The exterior of the church is characterized by restraint and elegance. The picturesque asymmetry typical of 17th-century Russian architecture is evident in both the composition of the church and its decor. The main decoration of the southern facade consists of small windows arranged in a triangle. This arrangement of windows, borrowed from wooden architecture, is also found in stone churches of that time. An example is the church in the Moscow village of Rozhestveno-Suvoro, built in the late 17th century by order of the princes Baryatinsky. Interestingly, the estates of the Baryatinsky family were located near the Yaroslavl possessions of A.I. Chirikov.

The window frames of the Trinity Church are made in the form of simple frames with triangular or wedge-shaped finishes, decorated with a half-roll. The decor also includes flat pilasters, semi-columns between the apses, and simple cornices.

Originally, the plasticity of the church was more expressive: the massive arches supporting the gallery were open; the altar part of the winter church of the Kazan Mother of God in the basement had a three-apse structure, not rectangular as it is now. It is possible that there was a southern gallery with an altar, lost during later alterations.

Despite the changes and losses, the Trinity Church has retained the expressiveness characteristic of 17th-century monuments. This is facilitated by the large scale in proportion to a person, the lively softness of forms, the slight asymmetry of details that create the impression of handmade work, and the patina of antiquity, which easily disappears with careless restoration.

Nothing remains of the former interior decoration of the church. However, opening the heavy wrought-iron door leading inside, one can admire the play of architectural forms: arched openings connecting parts of the building, low barrel vaults with varying arches, and deep niches in the altar part.

The Trinity Church in Aristovo differs from the traditional forms of 17th-century Yaroslavl architecture. It is possible that it was built by Moscow masters. However, this monument is important for the history of Yaroslavl architecture, as together with the Kazan Church in Sarafonovo, it opens a series of Yaroslavl estate churches of the 17th-18th centuries.
