The first document concerning the Rekon Desert dates back to 1686. It was a record compiled by the priest of the Nikolaevsky parish, Alexander, at the request of the Novgorod Metropolitan Cornelius and the order of the archimandrite of the Assumption Tikhvin Monastery, Macarius.

The Trinity Church, small in size, was built from 1672 to 1676. It consists of a square altar, a square but slightly larger main church space, and an almost square refectory, which is approximately the same size as the church. The refectory was added later, adjacent to the church. The central part of the building rises above the others. All parts are covered with gable roofs with wooden shingles. This is a rare case where old churches were not covered with iron in the 19th century. A small dome is placed above the central part. On the south side, there was a porch-bell tower at the refectory and church, which was already missing by the time of the first study of the monument. However, based on traces on the western wall of the refectory, restorers were able to restore the original appearance of the porch, which also served as a bell tower. It was single-sloped, located along the western wall of the church, supported by a log frame, and had an asymmetrical gable roof, shifted to the left relative to the door opening. The staircase led from the south, and bells and a clapper hung from the upper binding beams. Despite losses in the interior, the disappearance of the porch-bell tower, and some changes in the 19th century, such as the expansion of old windows and the creation of new ones, the church has preserved its original forms better than other wooden cult structures. This facilitated the development of a restoration project that took into account the preservation of the porch that appeared in the late 18th century and the extension made in old traditions, enriching the architectural appearance of the monument. In 1979, the church was moved to Vitoslavlitsy.
