In 1828, Elder Leonty was born in Voronovka, who is revered in the Middle Posurye. He lived most of his life in the village of Krasnaya Polyana, located 30 kilometers from Voronovka, and passed away in 1901. In Krasnaya Polyana, near the former church, now converted into a club, his grave remains, and nearby is a spring where the elder prayed. People come to this source for healing water in hopes of recovery.

The Tikhvin Church in Voronovka was built according to the design of architect M.P. Korinfsky. It was closed for worship in 1933, and in 1937, the church's elder, Kozlova Nenila Pavlovna, was arrested. In the 1970s, the building was used as a warehouse for the Consumer Cooperative, but later it became abandoned.

Local residents recount that 17 years ago, lightning struck the bell tower, leaving a groove on the northwestern facade of the upper tier, damaging the half-columns of the bell tower and the lower tier. The church is now abandoned and gradually deteriorating. It is located in the center of the village on a hill by a stream and consists of a temple with an apse and a separate bell tower.

The temple features an oval rotunda with a dome vault on a light drum, to which a round apse is attached from the east, and three rectangular narthexes are positioned at angles of 120° from the west, northeast, and southeast. The end walls of the narthexes are adorned with four-columned Doric porticos with triangular pediments.

Externally, the temple is topped with a spherical dome with a faceted onion-shaped cupola on a high drum. The apse also has a spherical dome with a cross-shaped apple, while the narthexes were covered with two slopes. The dome crosses have not survived. The three-tiered bell tower, oriented to the cardinal directions, is located 16 meters south of the church. The facades of the square lower tier with high arched entrances are decorated with four half-columned attached porticos of the Doric order. The round tier of the bell tower is designed with paired half-columns at the corners. The low third tier with round window openings is topped with a tent-shaped dome with an onion-shaped cupola on a high drum.

Inside, the walls of the temple are plastered and painted blue. The temple is connected to the narthexes through high arched openings, and the rotunda is covered with a dome vault on a light drum. The bell tower inside is round.
