Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker

Фото 1
The palace gates and the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker were a true adornment of the palace and park ensemble. The church, designed by the Vilnius architect Pimenov and consecrated on January 22, 1895, was considered the most beautiful in the Grodno province. Its iconostasis was made of Chinese porcelain delivered from St. Petersburg and is today the only porcelain iconostasis in all of Poland. The gates and the temple, which have survived to this day, were built simultaneously with the Palace and share many common features with it. Their red brick masonry recalls the former splendor of the Palace.
